Here are some of Redmond-speak about the joys of Windows 7. “On the Start screen, dynamically updated ‘live tile’ will be displayed to the user in real-time content directly, breaking the mold a static icon that serves as an intermediary step on the way to an application.” Well, that’s a pretty radical change to the UI.

A lot of excitement has been generated by an announcement from Opera this morning. According to the software firm the mobile version of its internet browser, Opera Mini, will be demonstrated as an iPhone app during Mobile World Congress. With Twitter and Facebook being in many ways the most popular and used websites out there, it makes sense that Google would try to get into the competition. Google tried once before by buying Jaiku, which was a Twitter-like service that later died. Now Google looks to try using what it already has in place to push Buzz to as many people as possible.
