There is a fresh news of the Blackberry Playbook price from MobilityInsider who claims that there will be 3 different models of the Playbook and that the base model with 8GB capacity will cost only $399.
The Playbook might come in 3 variants
- 8GB: $399
- 16GB: $499
- 32GB: $599
Apart from the memory, the features of the PlayBook are the same. There is no 3G or Wireless Broadband access. You would have to rely on your tethered Blackberry or a WiFi hotspot for internet access. We expected the Playbook to cost lesser than the iPad which retails for $499 (base model) and RIM might have a winner here if they sold the playbook for $399 without a contract !
