Google Cloud Print Service Beta released

Google unveiled Google Cloud Print, a service that enables any application (web, desktop, or mobile) on any device to print to any printer. By connecting your printer with the Google Cloud you will be able to print to your printer (at home or office) from any computer or smart phone, regardless of where you are Just activate the Google Cloud Print connector in Google Chrome and your printer will automatically be available to you from Google Cloud Print enabled web and mobile apps.

The option was given to Google Chrome OS users last month, but today Google has opened the public beta for mobile documents and Gmail for mobile. According to Google, the service will be rolled out to users throughout the next few days. ‘Print’ will be a new option in Google Docs and Gmail, and a user can print PDF and .DOC attachments, as well.

Compatibility: To use Google Cloud Print, a user will need a phone with Android 2.1+ or iOS 3+ and a printer that is connected to the cloud service.
