A set of specs for the HTC Thunderbolt, the phone that is supposed to be the first 4G handset on Verizon’s LTE network, has leaked. If those leaked specs are true, the Thunderbolt will have a dual core 1.2GHz Snapdragon (MSM8960) processor, a 5 megapixel camera on the front side and an 8 megapixel camera on the rear side. There is a microSD card slot that would let you expand the memory up to 132GB and a 1800mAh battery. Now your head must be spinning, right? Yes, these specs are too good to be true. But if these rumors are indeed true then the Thunderbolt will be the most powerful smartphone on the market.
On the other hand, the specs that came with the Thunderbolt the other day had specifically stated that it would not have a dual core processor. As for that dual core Snapdragon MSM8960 processor, well, it is unlikely to begin testing until the middle of next year. The HTC Thunderbolt, on the other hand, is expected to be introduced next week.
