iPad 2 to run on Arm dual core processor?

iPad 2 to run on Arm dual core processor

iPad 2 will need to be doubly good to proactively compete against the many and varied tablet PCs competitors due in 2011, and with some already known to be coming with more advanced dual-core Cortex A9 processors, and we’re expecting the same to happen with the iPad 2. Does dual core mean twice as good?

An analyst note claims Apple iPad 2 will adopt a dual-core chip, which would be a first for the company consumer line of handheld products. True or not, Apple iPad will eventually have to make the jump to dual-core to compete with the likes of the upcoming Motorola tablet and RIM PlayBook.

We think this prediction seems far more realistic than some expectations that the iPad 2 will arrive in January, and also points to the iPhone 5 Camera also containing the same dual-core processor technology.
