Motorola Atrix 4G was one of showstoppers. It has a dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and 4G connectivity. But what makes this smartphone special is its optional laptop accessory. Motorola calls the laptop dock a Webtop. In terms of looks it isn’t all that different from an 11.6 inch laptop. But unlike a typical laptop, the Atrix notebook dock is powered entirely by the smartphone. To power the laptop you just need to stick the Atrix 4G in the docking station.
The Webtop is basically an 11.6 inch laptop. It is powered entirely by the smartphone. When you stick the Atrix 4G in a docking station in the rear of the Webtop it will power up the laptop which runs a custom Linux OS with a full version of the FireFox browser. The Webtop can access apps and data stored on your phone.
Although, Motorola is tight-lipped about the pricing of the Webtop, sources suggest that will cost about $150. The Atrix 4G will hit Best Buy stores first. It is also one of the first 4G phones coming to AT&T network in the US.
