SmartQ Ten is a 9.7 inch (1024 × 768) tablet computer from China, which is equipped with Cortex A9 processors, Android 2.2 Froyo and 512 MB RAM memory. But there is one technology that is rarely or even not exists on other android tablet computer but only available on SmartQ Ten android tablet is the use of piezoelectric touch screen that could be considered a combination of Capacitive with a resistive screen
With its piezoelectric touchscreen the Ten will allow users to have multi-touch capability with the use of non-conductive instruments such as a stylus as well as fingers. The screen measures in at 9.7” this means it will provide precision input with cheaper material on sharper screen clarity.
The way the technology works is piezoelectric transducers that are underneath the screen at different points turn a touch or vibration into an electric signal. The hardware can then translate the signal using an algorithm to determine which point the screen was touched.
If you notice, capacitive screens indeed are nice but not precise enough especially if we have big finger. That is why with piezoelectric screen on this SmartQ Ten android tablet and we can use the stylus which is used in resistive screen with better precision.
