Blackberry Messenger (BBM) to be Launched for Android and iOS

Research in Motion (RIM) which has been exclusively available on the BlackBerry platform will lose the exclusivity of this. BBM is not only available for the BlackBerry platform, but also for other platforms are on the top, Android and iPhone. BlackBerry users could BBM future’s with Android users or IOS.
There has been no definite news about pricing scheme and so on, can pay once at the beginning or pay every year or it could be the last choice that is made free in order to attract more users. Then what is the benefit if BBM was taken to another platform?

Unfortunately, that experience may not be as great on Android as it is on Blackberry. They say RIM may be looking to strip down the offerings on third-party operating systems so that friends who have different operating systems can still communicate without the Blackberry user having to shy away from their beloved messenger.

This step could be a threat to similar services such as WhatsApp, PingChat, or Kik who obviously is a BBM-clone. So do not be surprised later on messenger areas will be controlled by RIM to BBM its more reliable than the other messenger. From the sources said, mentioned that the BBM for Android already decided to launch (definitely a go), given the ease of making an application on open source platforms, plus the BlackBerry and Android have the same base that is Java. Nevertheless, its IOS version expected to follow to be developed.
