Feather flies in as Theory flops

Brian Meehan’s Theyskens’ Theory could only finish sixth as Awesome Feather maintained her unbeaten record in the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at Churchill Downs.
The youngster lined up on the back of five victories at Calder and moved up to challenge R Heat Lightning for the lead in the straight.
The two of them settled down to fight it out but Awesome Feather proved too strong in the hands of Jeffrey Sanchez.
Dettori, who rode Theyskens’ Theory, said: “I thought we had a real chance, but I was never in the comfort zone.
“I was pressured from outside and in the end she did well to stay on because after the bend, I was gone.”
