With Google finding success in almost every venture and their total assets exceeding 40 billion dollars (as of 2009), they surely have a lot of money to throw around in pet projects. Google’s latest pet project seems to be cars driven without any human intervention! So when The New York Times reported about a bunch of scientists at Google working on completely automated cars, the geek in us got curious. Google has tested seven cars (six Toyota Priuses and one Audi TT) that have mostly been driven without any human assistance for 1000 miles (or 1609 kilometers).
