Maybe you’re one of the people who are completely comfortable with Facebook Places, Facebook’s new location broadcasting feature. Maybe you can’t wait to start tagging all your friends wherever you hang out. Stop! Think! Don’t be a creep!

We’ve already made our views clear on the feature in Facebook Places which allows you to tag your friends in a GPS pinpointed check-in, much as you would in a picture or a status update. YouTube Launches an Online Video Editor

youtube-logoIf you’re a YouTube user who never got around to learning how to edit video, the company has you covered. Today, YouTube unveiled its web-based video editor, which offers several simple ways to make your videos better.

The editor lets you trim the beginning and ending of videos, combine several small videos together, and add audio from YouTube’s AudioSwap library. The interface (as demonstrated in the video below) appears to be fairly straight forward — it looks simple enough for someone who has never edited video before to feel comfortable. It’s clearly not aiming to take on professional applications like Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, and it’s even a long way from entry-level solutions like iMovie and Windows Movie Maker. Google Buzz Integrated in Seesmic Web and Partners

Google BuzzThe great Twitter Desktop Client Seesmic supports Google Buzz! I don’t know if it allows to post content to Buzz though.. It looks like it only can show Buzz and has commenting and liking.

Seesmic – one of the most popular social software clients that allow users to easily access social networks in one application – announced the integration of Google Buzz into four of their products. Seesmic has collaborated with Google and users can now manage Google Buzz in Seesmic Web, Ping.fm, a Beta version of Seesmic for Android and Seesmic’s preview version of the next generation of Seesmic Desktop.

Opera Mobile browser really coming to iPhone?

opera mobile for iphoneA lot of excitement has been generated by an announcement from Opera this morning. According to the software firm the mobile version of its internet browser, Opera Mini, will be demonstrated as an iPhone app during Mobile World Congress. This is a welcome announcement for Opera fans with iPhones, who have so far been denied access to their browser of choice. But what does Apple think about this

The company foresees zero issues with the approval of the app, and hopes Apple will “not deny their users a choice in Web browsing experience”. Frankly, I hope Apple won’t block the app from appearing in the App Store either.

Once the app is completed and live in the App Store, Opera Software hopes people will be enticed to leave the iPhone’s Safari browser for what it is primarily based on the speed of its own product. The company says that Opera Mini for iPhone is up to 6 times faster than the native browser thanks to its compression technology, based on internal tests.
